All

Just to let you all know that my dear wife is going into hospital tomorrow for spinal surgery.  She has two fractures that have possibly been there for some time however the pain has gotten to the stage where about two weeks ago she had to take leave from work as she could no longer drive without severe pain.

The surgery involves removing a damaged disk and then inserting screws and rods to fuse two of her vertebrae and then bone grafts for a permanent fixture.

The doctors assure us of a full recovery although have outlined several things that could possibly go wrong.  The recovery period if all goes well is around seven weeks.  I too am off work to look after here.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Regards

Derek

My thoughts and best wishes to you both.  Surgeons do amazing things these days.  I'm sure it will be a positive outcome.

Best wishes to Maggie for a speedy and successful outcome.
You are too close to the "best time of life" to have hiccups like that impeding progress.
Cheers mikel
