Another big day, all went to plan and the visitors loved the camp oven tucker. Turned out to be about 80 Internationals and 25 odd staff/workers.

The buses arrived at 5pm with dinner to be served at 6ish. Bruce & I were flat out at this time as every thing was becoming ready. A great show for the guests as their cameras flashed and they all wanted to see inside all the ovens.

Sorry Muzz, not one photo of a damper but I did make about 6 and I think they liked them covered in butter and golden syrup as a starter whilst mingling around the camp fire.

Not alot of snaps but here are some.

Thanks Jono
Those photos around the fire look warm and inviting.
I'm sure all those attending enjoyed themselves.
Great to see a lineup of COs doing what they do best.

Now I really want to get home Cry

you make it look so easy.

any mis-haps at all ?

the campfire pics are bloody rippers. tourist attrractors.

is this just a hobby, or are you in the catering business?

I'm going to knock up a multi-oven stand similar to ones you use. thanks for the ideas.

Great stuff Jono your a wonder.  Just one question do you put coals on top of the camp ovens or just cook from underneath?

Mis-hap free mate. The only fault I could find was with the bain marie the Progress Ass. have was way to small for the quanity of food. Out of my hands that one.

Just a hobby at this stage. Doesn't feel like it sometimes. I have been toying with the idea of going commercial. Full Camp Oven Catering for weddings and large functions. I can cater for pig on the spit parties too. My new wood fired spit we made can cater for upto a 100kg pig. Its all to much work at the moment.

Yep coals on top too. Just depends on the timing.

Cheers
Jono
