Belvidere campground is in the Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park - A spit of land that seperates Leschenault Estuary from the Ocean

Location:
150km south of Perth, 22km north of Bunbury and 10km from Australind.

Directions:
Travelling along Old Coast Road, turn either left or right onto Buffalo Road.  Follow that for about 5 kms and turn left onto the track that follows the estuary.  Go straight through the 'roundabout' and continue for another couple of kilometres.  Take the right turn to the camp site, or the left turn to the day use area.

Facilities:  Minimal
There are 11 camp sites, with some specially designed for small vans (not 5th wheelers).
Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, however fire restriction apply November - April.
Centrally located long drop toilets.

Buffalo Beach has easy access and a bitumen car park while the closer Belvidere Beach is quite pleasant if you are physically capable of clambering over sand dunes to get there.

Special Notes:
Ross River virus risk area - mosquito repellent is a must.

Dogs are NOT allowed - this is a conservation park!

Lock up your food or the possums WILL take advantage

Costs:  DEC Fees
Adults [16+] $7/night; Concession $5/night;
Children [5-15] $2/night.  Under 5 free.

Opinion:   Smiley
A pleasant place to visit mid-week.
Tropical strength aerogard is a MUST during spring and summer.
Weekends can be a bit rowdy when the young 'footloose and fancy free' mob knock off work.

The judge's decision is final... unless the 3rd umpire is called for... or a facebook campaign goes viral !!!

Derek,  I'm not a fish person so asked a mate...

snip...
Depends on how many dolphins are around!

'He' usually gets some king george whiting, tailor, mulloway and/or herring.
Sometimes salmon, depending on the time of year.
Pink snapper can be had every now and then but they tend to be small (babies) from the estuary.
Yellow fin and brim are common in the estuary - as well as a few bull sharks too.
...end snip

Posted some more photos of Belvidere on facebook.
Some of the bays are good for caravans, but I don't think you'd get a 5th wheeler in there.
[says she who cant reverse 5 feet in a straight line]   None of the sites are drive through.

DEC managed conservation area...NO dogs.
BYO potable water.

No wood fires / heatbeads between 1 November to mid May-ish
