Snapped this pic this afternoon at a little bird feeder hanging in a tree beside my van. Either a female or juvenile.

Nice one.
Had a Pacific Baza (Crested Hawk) visit the other day.
It was a most magnificent bird.
Not quick enough to get a photo.

We have one around home occasionally Aart.  The most exciting birds I have at home is a pair of Powerful Owls. Very difficult to get a pic at night but will eventually get a day roosting one when I can find them.

I will get a pic of the male in next day or so. Much brighter colours for sure.

Dad came to play today. These are beautiful birds to see in the wild.

They have beautiful colourings. The Crimson Rosellas are nice as well.

Thanks for that Dave. Have book marked the site.

Apart from the Gouldian Finch (which I am yet to see in the wild) I think that rosellas are our most beautiful birds.

This is a photo I took of a Crimson Rosella at Ebor Falls back in May. I wish I had a longer lens for my camera.

Derek, I was fortunate to see Gouldian Finches in the wild back in about 2004 at a very small out of the way water hole about 60kms out of Darwin. I got photos but it was still in my film days and I haven't got them scanned onto my computer.
