Thanks Tim

Powers Camping World Toowoomba stock them,  so assume other Camping World stores do the same.
Check:

Tim, it is sometimes easier to buy direct from Southern Metal Spinners.  A lot of the bigger camping stores are choosing not to stock good Australian products these days. They are filling up with cheap Chinese copies to make more profit.

When I was last talking to Bill Thompson of Southern Metal Spinners he was again talking to me about it. A big shame really.

Interesting though I was out at Chinchilla recently and Home Hardware had the most stocks of Southern Metal Spinner Products I have seen for a long time.

Thanks guys,i was going to order over the internet but i want it for this weekend (leaving for a week at fraser with the family and some awesome mates). After calling 11 camping stores i found some at Centenary Disposals. Most of the stores i spoke to said they do not stock SMS gear any more due to the obscene cost of frieght charged by SMS (what im told). Apparently this is about to change so we will see them on the shelves again soon. Fingers crossed so we can support aussie businesses. Anyway i am sessoning it now so i can take it away with us. Smiley

Dos anybody have any pointers for cooking on the sand? (we will be beach camping). ie. things i should take to shelter from wind, should i cook with oven up off the sand ect? also any pointers on using  bedourie oven?

Thanks tim

Only thing been mentioned about bedourie's are... you dont need as much heat under them as you do for cast-iron COs..and continue to monitor what your cooking....it could burn easily
