Getting a bit off track here but from what Ive seen there are two definite size variations in 15 inch Furphys. most of the ovens are 15 inch outside diameter..
However there is another type that has slightly longer legs and it has a 15 inch inside diameter, Ive seen too many the same for it to be put down to just rough casting.
From memory its the one with the type of lid in the photo below.

I'm the same, I have always loved them and my lids fit pretty good and their not that rough. My personal favourite id the 10 inch Furphy that's why I have about 5 with all different years stamped on the lid. Gotta love a good Furphy!! Smiley
