Started my Christmas cooking preparations today. Big shop yesterday for everything plus a little more today. Fruit soaking in brandy for the pudding. Fresh dates soaking in rum to be covered in dark chocolate in a few days. Will be doing rum balls and white Christmas. Still contemplating a cake. Might do a rummy variation of the old milk n fruit recipe.

My first Christmas in many years where I will actually have time to appreciate it.

Looking at dinner cooked in camp ovens for Christmas day. Baked ham, roast chickens with fig and pistachio stuffing. Maybe a baked whole fillet of Atlantic salmon served with a sweet citrus salad and cuscus.
