Veges were difficult to roast with no open fires.
Had to do them inside a drum with beads inside and not outside and under the drum.

Roast pork was wonderful..The crackling the best I've experienced.

I cooked a meal in a shearing shed off-site from the camp.
Apricot chicken  which included 160 chicken thigh fillets and about 3 kilo of fresh apricots, amongst other ingredients.

No photo... Embarrassed  left camera back at camp.

The fresh ingredients in Tassie were wonderful.

Included is a photo of camp kitchen.

Great job there Aart. That roast didn't look half bad mate!!! Smiley

I guess you were glad you weren't cooking for the 11,000 Scouts that have been here fore their Jamboree over the last couple of weeks. Shocked Grin

I can't imagine what that would be like.
My understanding is the scouts cook in groups.
They go to a central area to collect the food and then cook back at their individual areas.
Not sure hpw many are in the groups.

I would not want to be responsible for purchasing, storing and distribution for those numbers.   Shocked
