Brian .... what's the name of the cattle farm where your Murray joins the ocean?
Saw it on TV a year or so ago and they were saying the river was down to a trickle.  They had something like 5 miles of dry land where they were normally launching power boats when the river is running properly.
(shakes head dismally)

The judge's decision is final... unless the 3rd umpire is called for... or a facebook campaign goes viral !!!

Are you thinking of Hindmarsh Island. There were a lot of dairy farms there. But I don't know if they are still there.

You may have seen the dairy farms at Jervois on the Murray.

I have only caught a couple of redfin in a flowing river.

Caught plenty in dams and ponds though. Easiest fish to catch using lures that vibrate through the water.

And they are a very tasty fish.

My first redfin caught on a soft plastic lure (in pumpkin seed)

On a mates then property  Sad

That was him...thanks Brian!

I am relying on other people to connect me to my memories  - is that the first sign of Old Timer's syndrome?   Grin
