Earlier this year a great mate of mine who worked with me many years ago visited from the UK.

Over a cup of tea we got talking about camp oven cooking and I showed him many of my camp ovens.

To cut a long story short, his interest was peaked and on his return to England bought a nice cast iron camp oven.

Here is his first effort - a cheesy camp oven bread.  Now that looks absolutely divine.

Well done Raymond.

Yummo Ray
Love the way it looks a bit like a wagon wheel.  You could set the whole Theme for a meal around that - chuck wagon tucker, spurs, cowboy hats...  imagination runs away with me (as usual)

See Derek, you do affect everyone you meet - passing on a case of castironitis!
Thank goodness there is no cure   Kiss

If that's his first effort, don't let him join, he'll clean us out in the challenges.  Shocked

That bread looks very good.

Ask Ray for the recipe please?

He lives on a boat on the canals in England.  Have asked for the recipe.

Poor bugger, it sounds like a tough sort of life, floating about the English countryside in a boat while cooking in a camp oven.

That's a tasty looking loaf no doubt.
I don't reckon there'd be too many campfires on a canal boat though. (well you'd hope not) Grin

I used to be indecisive but I'm not so sure now.

I have only seen the photos but some lovely places to pull up for a BBQ fire.
