This jaffle cooker was my grandfathers.
I believe he had owned it since new.
I have never seen another like it.

It comes apart for easy cleaning.
Would someone on this forum be able to give me an indication of its age, value & rarity ??

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Have sent this off to our resident jaffle iron guru, Rastas.

Hopefully he will be on and able to give you some advice

G'day greenbeest,

Welcome to the forum also.

The Snackle toaster is not particularly rare. I have seen them as the pull-apart version and have seen one that is fixed to the other side.

I was made by Ogden Industries (the parent company of Lockwood) and seems to have a manufacture date of 1949ish to the early 50's.

Value is what a person is willing to pay, and I consider that I wouldn't pay any more than $20 for one in good condition that hasn't been "restored".  But I already have a couple of them in the collection.

I hope this helps.

A furphy, is Australian slang for a rumour, or an erroneous or improbable story.  You would never get anything but the plain honest dinky-di truth here... I promise!!!!  Yup, hand on my heart, promise, true blue, uh-huh true dinks, dead set!!
