They are a very nice vehicle Chally, easy to maintain, super reliable and spare parts are cheap.

We owned an 80 series diesel for over eighteen years mate and it certainly was a great vehicle although it was bit thirsty. Smiley It is still in the family as our daughter and son in-law bought it this year as their bush vehicle. They have a diesel Prado as well.

Our vehicles are all 'no nonsense' old Toyota Landcruisers and Hilux and I wouldn't have it any other way.  Wink

Here is something I found interesting.

When I rang AAMI to change over the comprehensive insurance they took all the details and then she said we owe you a refund on the remaining year's premium.  When I asked why she said the Cruiser is cheaper to insure than the Colorado even though it is worth nearly three times more.

What she told me was due to the many safety features on the Cruiser there is less likelihood of an accident in it.

Now I have a truck that costs more to register, being a V8, than it does to insure it Smiley
