This place is about 17kms Tamworth side of Barraba. It is on the back waters of the Split Rock dam I believe. It is a beautiful spot but would be hot camping in summer as there is not much in the way of shade. There are long drop toilets and non drinking water.

Anyway I took quite a lot of photos here. As you can see we were camped close to another caravan but they were friends of ours. The photo of the camp ovens is one of my favourites. It was about a 20 second exposure.

Overall another great spot.

I'm not a fisherman. We saw people trying from both land and boat and never saw a fish caught. There are some good fish in there though so they say. Smiley
