My Hillbilly BushKing kit 2 arrived today.

Very impressed with the quality of the carry bag.

But a small problem,  the lid fits the height extension ring perfectly,  the height extension ring does not drop into the oven,  has to be pushed and wriggled in, then is not level.  The lid is not a good fit in the oven and has to be pushed in.

Can only assume the oven is not perfectly round,  may have had a ding in transit.

Have emailed the Hillbilly HQ.

Has anyone found the same experience?

Gave this some more thought today KD
Assuming the 12 and 7 litre are the same...  There is a right way and a wrong way to fit the extension.
The extension should have a slight 'flare' on one side/edge.
The 'flare' goes to the top, with the non-flared side sitting inside the camp oven.
The lid then sits on the flared edge

Is that how you have tried fitting it?

I had a problem with the handle alignment on mine when I got it. Contacted Hillbilly and it was fixed pronto.  Couldn't be happier with the customer service side of things.  Cost a fortune in postage though from this side of the country.

The judge's decision is final... unless the 3rd umpire is called for... or a facebook campaign goes viral !!!
