Hi all
Just trying to find some times on how long to cook Lamb shanks, roast pork and my vegies (potato, pumpkin & sweet potato). Will be cooking with wood coals with my old cast iron cooker. Will also be slow cooking on my home made pot belly pig (Wilson). Just can't find any times on here. Jus a ruff idea is fine. Going away for Easter and planning my meals.
Thanks

When we campfire cook...we just keep an eye on how its going....cooking too fast use less heat......same as too slow more heat...also we turn campoven 1/4 turn after checking.... we work on roughly same time as we would cook in a stove at home

I'm no expert but with our roasts I like to be able to hear a little sizzle coming from the oven. As a bit of a guide we find it takes around an hour per kilo of roast. We find our veggies take around an hour. As Dave says, just keep an eye on it and you will soon work out how things are going. Smiley
