Real nice Brett!
I would put money on it that you're still grinning ear to ear.
My Falkirk is the smaller 12 inch with a patterned lid.
As you can see "Falkirk" is very indistinct on my example
I'm thinking that the more ornate(?) patterned pieces are
likely older, when labour costs were less.
Carron are another example where this can be noticed

Great oven grump thanks for the photo and history as I think you nailed it when working out the ages of the 2 ovens , I have been smiling all day as the mail man dropped an oven off I got in Forbes last week and on opening the box there was  a lid with crap all over it so I give it a little rub here and here and bugger me there was the brand and size Falkirk 18inch on it 😄😄😄 but it didn't have the pattern on lid like your beauty mate(I wish it did ) I will try and upload photos tonight ,

This is a photo of my 18 inch Falkirk arrived in the post.  I can't clean in up for a couple of days.  However, I will post some photos when I have.  The pot beside in the 14 in Falkirk which I have seasoned.  I have never seen one until last week and now I have two to my surprise.

I can't see your photo either KD.

That 18 incher is a beauty Brett. Those big ovens make average size ones look small. Smiley

Hey Chally they do make them look small as that is the 14 inch Falkirk beside it , I put abit of wine in them and lite  a heap of candles around them put on some real smooth music turned all the lights off in the shed last night and left them all alone hoping to get up in the morning to find one like grumps and you would believe it there must be a bit of cross breed in 1 as I did get 1 like grumps but it was a metters 10 inch  Cheesy Cheesy Grin gee it's a little beauty mate
