If you look at number 3 it has threaded handles.  I have two of these and both the same.  Number 1, the one on eBay does not appear to have threaded handles.

Someone thinks it is ok as it has gone up to $311.00 on the auction as of now.

Still got 3 and a half days to go.

That is a lot of money for a jaffle iron. I still don't think it was even made by Furphy.

Our double jaffle irons have threaded handles also.

I think it may be going to set a record.  Currently $406.02 and over a day to go.

Must be a couple of people desperate to get this one.

Getting back to the original question Derek. As far as I am aware the earliest and most collectible Furphy Jaffle Irons , do have wire spring type handles like those on the one on Ebay at the moment.
As for if those handles are the right ones for that particular Iron, or who made it, or when, I have no idea.  Undecided

As I've always said Furphy are very overrated but I can't complain, I've done well out of the ones I've on sold. No, I didn't sell that jaffle iron.

Rob.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd
