another simple one that I saw surfing the net

only 2 ingredients

i cheap chocolate cake mix
1 can of sarsaparilla  -- I used Bundaberg Sarsaparilla myself but doubt it would matter

get the heat source happening - camp fire or heat beads once the heat source is ready

simply mix the to ingredients together in a dish and pour the brew into a cake dish ( I used a 180 cm dish as it fits in my 10 " camp oven ) and into the camp oven on a trived to cook
I used 20 heat beads 8 on the bottom and 12 on the top

cook for about 35 - 40 min and check with a skewer to make sure it's cooked
it worked really well for something so easy

Love sarsaparilla, specially Bundy ones.

Unusual combination. Does the SARS flavour stand out?

not really just a hint but the cake came out nice and moist
I like the fact that it was very simple with easy to carry materials
