Had my cousin visit recently & she brought 8kg of rosellas for my Mum to make some jam.
Now 8kg is a lot of rosellas to process.

I made a gadget from a 303 shell and old timber cotton reel.
I cut the primer end of the shell off and used files to sharpen the cut off edge.
I slightly squashed the other end of the shell in the drill chuck so it was no longer round & would be more secure when inserted into the cotton reel.
I then tapped the shell into the cotton reel with a piece of timber.
End result was a tool that enables must faster processing of rosellas when making jam.

When using it all you do is place the sharpened shell end over the stem of the rosella and push. The seed comes out through the open side of the rosella.
