Took off this morning with the van in tow. Heading for Dorrigo for the weekend for a small family gathering and to spend some time with Maggie's dad. After Australia Day going to slowly coast hop back north to home.

Have stopped the night at Beardy Waters rest area just north of Glen Innes

Be a lot cooler on the plateau.
I'm sick of this over 30C we've had here in Brisvegas for most of the last month or so.
Enjoy your travels

It is a nice place. Is that poor excuse for a caravan park (resort as they called it) still operating Derek? It was at the top of the range. They were the ones behind stopping camping at Thora.

Yep, the caravan park is still in Dorrigo.  Do not see a lot of people there though.  Dorrigo is now an RV Friendly Town and you can camp at the show grounds for $10 a night.  We have the van in Dad's driveway.  Free power and water Smiley

Peter's antique and collectable shop hasn't been open since we arrived.  Locals tells us he comes and goes and never opens regularly.
