If he lowered his prices he wouldn't have any nice stuff, it would all be sold, he would then have a shop full of rubbish left. No one wants to go into a shop full of rubbish. Making a dollar selling old stuff isn't an easy way to make a living, sometimes there is a bit more to it than meets the eye.
