Was just looking at he Travel Auction site.  You can usually get 10 days for half the price plus about $10 to $15.

It looked to be in a good location.

We won an auction for Edithburgh Caravan Park. We are going back to use our last 5 days in March. We paid $170 for 10 days.

And if you ever get down to Yorkes and want to extend your stay,  there is plenty of free camping around.

And Innes National Park has plenty of options.

Then there is Butlers Beach   http://www.hillocksdrive.com

Best to allow a month or two  Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks guys.  Maggie and I are rethinking our winter Tasmania trip as the constant cold I keep getting warned about may just be too much for a few months even though we do  love the cold and snow.

Instead we are wondering if we shouldn't just spend a few months and head south from Brisbane and follow the coast down through NSW, Victoria and south Australia and then back up through the inland home.

Would still be in winter but not quite as cold as Tassie.

The "Travelling Cogger's" sounds good  Cheesy

Lots of potential mini cog's could be organised with your travel itinerary.

KGW and big Snapper could be on your menu by the sounds of things.

As an ex Taswegian, born and bred I can tell you it gets just as cold in Central Oz and northern NSW in the winter months, it's just that winter lasts longer in Tas.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd
