From Broke to the intersection of the Golden Highway heading towards Singleton is a complete new road. It is nowhere near the old road which is to be mined.

A good reason not to blindly follow the GPS. Took a short cut from Broke to the Bylong Valley Way and ended up on this gravel road

Pulled into a free camp for the next two nights at Lake Wallace near Wallerawang, NSW

Dump point, toilets, hot showers, potable water, dog friendly, can have a fire. Only thing is amenities block is closed from 4.00 pm to 8.00 am.

We are right on the waterfront with only a gravel track between us and the water. Lots of fellow travellers here.
