I have started to put the second stage of my battery together for the camper. I only have a smallish position left, so I am building a 103Ah battery to fit in.
I have had them sitting together for some time, just balancing them up, at rest they are sitting on 3.302v once fitted into the box I made they now are 13.20v.
The box is 245mm L x 185mm W and I have made the height is 230mm H so I can fit the BMS on top.
Once charged up and in position this extra battery will extend the power for at least one day, and I will have up to 230A to delivered at once, from the two batteries

I did originally try to order a set of 310Ha batteries but they could not supply them, so this was my plan B. I don’t think I will use the 230A, but I might use the 383Ah if we have bad weather camping.
I hope to finish the batteries of this week sometime, then I can start on my axle upgrade.
I am also installing an extra 80L water tank as well, while I am at it.

I have finally finished my new Batteries, they are fully charged, and now wired in, but I have been side tracked doing a few major modifications to the camper.

There is a separate circuit breaker for each battery, the same Amp rating as the BMS ratings, 150 and 80Amps. They go to a positive bus bar which then distributes to the camper.
Both the negatives go to the Victron Battery Monitor before a Negative busbar for the camper.
I have set the Victron battery monitor to see both batteries combined at 380Ah, this is my point of truth when now looking on how much I have used and what is left in reserve.
Both batteries have now been top balanced, and charged.

Since I fitted the lithium batteries in the camper, I have not used the Nissan to charge the batteries while on the road. My thinking was I did not want the alternator directly charging the batteries unless I fitted a DC/DC charger to control what went to the batteries from the Nissan.
I opted for a Renogy 20A DC to DC charger that was lithium compatible, and would fit in the space where I wanted to fit it.
I have fitted it with a fuse before and after, and it will be activated once the Anderson plug is plugged into the Nissan drawbar.  The small blue wire is to be wired into a toggle switch so it can be turned off or on in camp when I do not unhitch the camper when camping.
You can select the battery charging voltage, this I am not sure about yet, but for now I have set it at 14.4v.

Been reading a lot about Renogy lately.  They are putting out some good gear.

I have now run a test on the charger, by my Victron shunt once I start the Nissan, 20A is showing going to the camper batteries.
I wanted a simple dc/dc charger with no bells and whistles, and from the reviews I looked at the Renogy looked to do just that.
