I have had a bit of a side track on my camper. I thought I might try and get my 60ltr Trailblazer working again. The original fridge unit died years ago and fitting in a new factory unit was I thought a bit high. I nearly could have brought a new fridge.
I at the time fitted a new after market compressor but if was always to big for the job being a 5.5cc unit It did work but was problematic on really hot days.
I thought it was time to have another go, so I went looking on the internet for a new 2.5cc to a 3.5cc 12v compressor, I found one on AliExpress, it cost me $218au landed at my door.

I have now fitted the unit, I had a bit of research to do regarding the variable motor speeds, to which with a few resistors and a switch it now has a two speed system. Something the older units never had.
I had to get some help with the silver soldering as this needs two hands, I can get into enough problems getting Bonnie to help with normal soldering.
All now fitted and gassing it up.

I now have a fridge giving me nice cold beer again.

I am now planing on fitting in a digital thermostat to replace the old stile unit to give it more control over the temps. I will leave the older thermostat where it is though in case the digital unit ever fails.
I also have to work out what resistors I need to give it more battery control, either high or low battery level usage.
