A 14" oven should accomodate all but the biggest leg as well as be a useful all round oven. I have a Harding 13", not a common size but easy to travel with and cook large meals.
Others will say a 12" is the way to go and 12's are probably the most common size, all up to you.

Where? No, I'm in Sydney, but try Anaconda, BCF, Rays Outdoors or Aussie Disposals. The Chinese made camp ovens are OK, make sure the lid sits properly and looks well made, they do vary you know..
Very few new camp ovens nowadays have legs but don't let that deter you, make up a trivet or even sit it on a couple of stones so you don't snuff out the heat beads under it (or am I getting too far ahead of you?)

My wife bought me this one for christmas. $10 postage to the middle of WA. Measures 16" across the top, and I can store my 10" inside.

I do like the Spinifex products.  The moulds seem to be a similar copy of the American Lodge.

I regards to the question, also thinking should i get a potjie pot or a dutch oven,we will be using the castiron for making stew and curries and occasional bake.
Is there any advantage of these two?,I do know that dutchoven can be used for roasting, baking and cooking, while potjie is usally used for stew etc..but this can be used for roasting as well?,there might be some disadvantage to do potjie to fit certain stove and stands.
Any thoughts...???

Hi Ash.
I've only ever used a Potje for wet dishes, stews, soups and curries.
Can't imagine how I could do a roast, cake or loaf of bread in one.

cheers
Aart

Ash

You can cook any thing in a camp oven that you can cook in a potje but you can't cook every thing in a potje that you can in a camp oven.
