Found another CO today...first glance I thought it might be a Lodge or Camp chef...

it has lots of what I would call dimples under the lid...but strangely it doesnt have a bail rest on the base

What could it be??.......maybe 10" wide at top...might be 4" high... no legs

the chap I got it off thought it was about 1950 - 1960s

I have one similar looking to it that I bought new 30 odd years ago.  Mine is stamped TAIWAN underneath the base.  Has the dimples under the lid.

I used to use it like a saucepan hanging off a tripod to boil vegetables when the kids were little.  Has no legs.

Taiwan is what I was told also.

Mine 8" is similar.

I read where the dimples allow even dripping of condensed liquid back onto the food? Saves basting  Smiley

Ok 9am Saturday I did a 60/40 mix vinegar and water in a plastic bin and put the camp oven in to soak..

Its now 2pm Sunday  I have taken the CO out to see if theres any progress....well its covered in a black slime..so I got a steel wool with soap center and wiped some of it off the lid only to see shiny metal where the brown rust was ...
Still crusty inside the base and lid but the bottom cleaned up nice....the CO is back in the mix till Tuesday

This vinegar mix might just work
