As far as I know it is. This is our first night free camping tonight so will run it down and see how it goes tomorrow.

I think I could be a victim of my own bad decision making.  I think the old saying you get what you pay for has come about

Down to 59% of SOC with my batteries this morning and with the fog cover still no charge into the batteries.  Still plenty of charge for the little lithium though.

The solar panels I bought were not expensive and I think they just are not cutting it.  I have the original 120 watt panel as well as the two 150 watts each that I added giving me 420 all up.

When new I recall 20 to 27 amps going into the battery regularly with the 30 amp MPPT controller.  Now seems to be no more than 5 amps anytime I look at it in full sun.

If I start the truck there is an immediate charge of 29/30 amps so the charger is good.

Might end up getting two good 200 watt panels and be done with it when I get home.

I know it is the panels as when I add the 200 watt folding panel I am getting up to 15 amps no problem.

Back to the drawing board.

I have a couple of 200W??? solar panels here as well.
I think when I tested them around 100w is all I got from them, but when I bought them, I thought they will not be 200w just by the size. But I bought them that cheap I did not mind, but a seller should not be overrating them but they always do.
I use the trends view on my system to see just what is going on with my batteries. I set one to state of charge, and the other to amps. By then I can view multiple days, by using the minus tab. You then can press the time button .. 14.08 example, and move the screen back to see when you got max charge or when the state of charge changed.

Added an additional double USB charger this morning.  Have put it just behind the dinette.  Been meaning to do this for a while.

We both have an iPhone and iPad each as well as a couple of other USB devices so can never have too many chargers.

Hi Derek,

Is the outlet switched?

I realise that the idle current is quite small, but it is still a constant draw. A bunch of power leeches can end up being a measurable current draw.

I agree with you, I have put quite a few USB chargers in our camper. What did you use for the mounting Derek.
I have also a couple now of the fast charges, as for switching some are some are not.

John, the mounting is a 240 volt powerpoint extension box with a blank face plate (Bunnings).  I was hoping to put the charger straight on the wall however the distance between the wall and the fridge behind it wasn’t enough.

Colin, I did think of switching it but it is less than an amp.

Two of mine have switches built in, another two are wired to spare switches. And one has no switch. Two are on all night charging the iPads and phones.
