Can remember making plough disk plates during my apprenticeship although they were not made for deep frying just slap the steaks on the oiled sides and Bob is your uncle. Cheers

Yes, easy to make, the only drawback I can see is it doesn't have a height adjustment to control the heat, might make one for Alstonville.

Working in the bush I often saw blokes cooking meals in a shovel held over the fire.

After Towitta......I asked my farming mate if he had any old plough discs...He said he cant even buy ones he needs for his farm machinery as people are buying them to cook on....

he can only get harrow discs ....doesnt want that type

Decided not to make this, not something I would use and cooking in all that oil, nah.

I agree Rob. 

The original video is good as it shows an alternate way of cooking but is it suitable to all I would say no.

I think what you could cook on it could be very limited.
