Have been trying my luck down at the estuary a bit lately but it's still a bit early in the season for crabs. Have been getting quite a few but all undersize so far

They are tasty aren’t they.  My son often goes crabbing in the boat then cooks up a big feed of chilli crab.

Don't think I've ever made chilli crab. I'll have to give it a go. It's been about 5 years since my last feed of crabs, before we moved out to Leinster

That looks good Ruf. Will copy that when I get some bigger ones. We have an early Christmas lunch in a couple of weeks as its the last time Dad and my rosters line up till after the new year. Really hoping to put some fresh crabs on the table. Am thinking about heading back to the flats with a scoop net tonight to see how I go
