If you ever watch the ABC TV Show ‘The Cook And The Chef’ with Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant you will often see Simon with a plastic scraper in his hand. He uses it for a multitude of things.

My Maggie has always been on the lookout for one and a while back located a set of three in a homewares shop.

One is stainless and great for cutting dough. The two nylon ones.

I find I use the nylon one for scraping stuck on food off the bottom of a camp oven.

The three slide together and take up no room.

I am using them more and more at home.

Well worth looking out for

Derek
Any chance you can tell me  the sizes of the scrapers please.
I have recently designed a wooden  spatula  400mm long  x 60 mm wide  I am going use it with my cooking to scrap the camp oven.  I am also hoping it  can  used as a flipper to use when making pan cakes.
regards  Kev

Hi Bear
No, not for prize.  making a couple for myself, but the expert (Lesley the wife) said no good as dough would stick to it if using any sort of timber. So it is back to the think tank. Maybe a thin stainless steel of some sort of plastic.
But it would have wood across the top.

Enjoy your day   regards Kev..
