For this recipe I used two mini expandable cake tins as I saw Heston Blumenthal do exactly this recently.

First off I greased and lined the tins with puff pastry

Popped on the tops, crimped the sides, cut some steam holes and brushed with milk.

Into the Weber Q or alternately a preheated camp oven and cook for 40 to 45 minutes until nicely browned

Which resulted in two beautiful pies.

Maggie insisted on a green to go with them.

. They really were to big to eat one each and next time we will only have half each

I bought them in Aldi on one of their special buys.

Couple more tonight. Maggie couldn’t wait to get stuck into hers but then gave it’s ten out of ten.

Finally score a Kmart pie maker and last night made pies with the left over Moroccan slow cooked lamb. Great dinner and a good use of left overs that is for sure.

They were Derek, bought a couple of the spring load cake dish that you use from kmart at $2 each to go in the van to make a deeper pie. Cheers.
