I am still having great success with these.

After cooking some pies a few days ago the next morning I lifted the camp oven up and this is what was left underneath. Still pretty well holding their form.

...

After I tapped each one with my fingers all that is left there is dust.  The Heat Beads are completely consumed.

Robert, as far as I know they are still only available at Bunnings.  Currently $19.98 for a 10 kilo bag.  Yeas they have gone up over $2 a bag in recent times.

I need to pick up a bag for Alstonville so if you want I can grab another bag for you as I will have some room.

Let me know.

There is a Bunnings at Ballina 12'k's away. I will go in and pick up what ever in needed for the camp. Any excuse to visit the  green shed.

I really like the coconut beads. I don't get them often as they are a bit more expensive and not as readily available, but are worth it when I do. Been thinking about giving the heat beads charcoal chunks a go next.
