When Maggie and I retired we decided to downgrade and as a result I sold off a lot of my camp ovens.  At the time we discussed what we would keep that would be useable and I must admit nearly 40 camp ovens were either sold or given away.

Many, many, many times though over the years since when cooking just for the two of us I have said, “I wish I had of kept a smaller oven”.

Today however I capitulated and took the plunge.

I know who has the one that I sold and he is about here somewhere but I have ordered from the US a small eight inch Lodge Camp Oven.

It will be winging it’s way to Australia in a day or so thanks to Bass Pro Shop.  Cheesy

An the 10 inch deep Lodge.
Beautiful pair of camp ovens.
Would you like to borrow them at Alstonville?
They are my favorites.

Nope. International shipping is never free from over there.  It is within the States.  As soon as you type in Australia the $$$$ multiply.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

One thing I have always liked about Lodge Camp Ovens is the length of the legs.  Designed specifically for Heat Beads, albeit the American version of them,

Cooked two duck breasts in this little baby last night and after cleaning it, it came up glistening.

Might be something with duck fat to explore!!!!
