Not affected ourselves but the Lockyer Valley fires were about 4 kilometres away.

Fortunately winds blowing it away from us however one house completely destroyed here in Laidley.

Smoke has been pretty bad.

I would think twice about going to a COG at Alstonville if it was on at this time.
After leaving the last one we went west out thru Tenterfield, very dry and lots of fuel on the ground.
 

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

I actually don’t think it is worthwhile organising a COG anywhere until we see a significant break in the drought.
