Hi Derek
Looking good mate. Interesting to have different birds that drop in and enjoy the garden.

Was sitting in the lounge before when I noticed a couple of Double-barred Finches darting in and out of a dark looking area of one of the trees just outside the back door with straws. See the first photo.

Went out and and there was a new nest just about finished.  See second photo.

Third photo is of a nest of a pair of Superb Fairywrens (Blue Wren) about three metres from the garage door.  They have three babies about four days old.  Will try for a photo of the babies in a couple of weeks as don’t want to overly disturb them.

Must be that time of the years as we also have a Magpie-lark (Pee Wee) starting to build a nest on the street light out the front of the house.  Will get a photo when I get the big camera out.

So good to have them nesting in your gardens. We came home from our trip just before Christmas and a pair of Pee Wees had a nest on where our electric service wire attaches to the house. They raised two young ones.

I must say they were much more welcome than the bee hive that had been built in the downstairs wall of our house. Shocked

Got a great photo today of the female wren heading towards the nest with a grub for the babies.

Also a great one of a Brown Honeyeater.

The Magpie Larks appear to be sitting on eggs as well.

Isn’t this one of the cutest little birds.  This is a fledging Superb Fairywren.  So young that it’s tail feathers haven’t grown yet.

In the first pic it was yelling at dad to come feed it.

It seems we have several of these nesting around the garden.  Nests are often difficult to find.

This one isn’t from the nest I put the photo of up the other day.  They are still tiny.

Some photos a bit blurry as I was taking them through a fence.
