They were a South African foundry but I don't know anymore really. We have a Steyns potjie pot.

Yes, as Jeff says I believe there was a foundry in South Africa made these.  They Actually called them bake pots.  As with their Potje pots they sized them with a number which was quite common in South Africa.

Have never seen one in the flesh only photos.
