So it's that time of year again already. What does everyone have planned? I'll be working again this Christmas but after inspiration from Cactus earlier this year, am going to brine a leg of pork during one of my weeks away and have a go at a ham in my smoker. Looking forward to it

Just before Christmas we will be doing the long drive up to the Atherton Tablelands again to see family. I'm sure the camp ovens will come out for a cook-up or two while we are up there.

When is Sweden a couple of years ago, I was tempted to have Reindeer Roast for lunch.
Hetty wasn't keen to take a bite into Rudolph, so we went to another restaurant.

It would probably count under Festive Food.

just saying

We are going away camping this weekend for the annual myswag NQ Christmas get together. We always do a combined dinner, so I might come up with something while we are out camping.

The fire bans have just been extended up here and it is so dry I wouldn’t like to even light heat beads in my cooking area because of sparks.

Not sure what yet but going to try and get something up even if it is cooked in the Weber Q.

Not game to have any sparks here either. My lawn has never looked like this.

We had a few days of fire bans last week. But the wife has reported a bit of rain yesterday so hopefully I'll be able to smoke my ham next weekend. If not, it'll just have to be a baked ham rather than smoked

Same out here Aart.  Never seen it this dry.  I am managing to keep it a little green around the house and that is it.
