Morning Aart using puff pastry mate with a egg wash on top.

Expecting rain over the next few days so it will be indoor cooking for us by the looks. Cheers

Thanks Robert
I was thinking of using puff pastry in a jaffle iron over a fire.
Just checking to see if the pastry becomes flakey when closed in.
Your pie tops look good.
I will try it and see if it works.

I have done that with Pampas puff pastry.  Because it is confined it doesn’t puff as much as it would in an oven.  If you have ever had a Maccas apple pie it is more that texture.  Very yummy for sure.

It is about to rain out here by the looks of things.

Derek this was about the best Molly has done, very pleased with it.

SA is not into steak and kidney as we have only found three shops that sell the pies.
