I like Japanese food, one of the reasons if I ever get a chance to go back to Japan to sample some of there foods. Every area in Japan has it own take on foods, so there is plenty to try.

I bought some Japanese Curry yesterday to try one of their curry recipe however when I looked at it today it has got three flavour enhancers in it (621, 627, 631).  621 is MSG so Maggie cannot eat it.

I usually have a look at the labels on new things but didn’t even think of it.

With the current state of affairs around Australia and it's shops, we've decided to change the theme to "Cook Anything" as Japanese may be a bit too specific at the moment. If you had a Japanese style meal planned, feel free to still cook it  Smiley

Flour and Bread Mixes have been non existence in out shops for quite a while now. I might need to buy hot cross buns this year instead of making them.  Cry Cry

Up here too, we cooked a loaf of bread in the camp oven yesterday and went to buy some more flour an hour or so ago and there was not one packet on the shelves.  Roll Eyes

Did a lamb roast yesterday, was originally planning on trying to cook it for long enough to do a pulled lamb style dinner but didn't get it on early enough so had it as a roast. Still turned out great, but slightly overdone for a roast. I kept forgetting to take photos so the pictures were a bit rubbish towards the end
