Managed to pick up a old 4 burner bbq and a kettle bbq as well.
Legs on the kettle were rusted so I will clean it up and set it into a table. Will most likely use as a smoker hot and cold.

The gas one I am not sure if I will spend the time on mainly wanted the two plates which fit nicely in the 1/2 gas cylinder pit.

Need to find some one to lay three high of bricks around the in-ground pit. Not physically capable to do it myself.

Ok bought the bricks last week but still waiting for the S.I.L to say he has a brick layer for me. Think I will be tracking one down myself.

Today I started going over my gear re cleaning and reasoning.
Will be doing a trip up to the riverlands for a couple of days so hoping to do some cooking.

Found out the Aldi chimney is a smaller diameter than the Heat bead chimney and dose not allow the fire starter ring to be used. Started the beads on the little gas stove and then shifted to the chimney blower to give them a blast.

Also cleaned the jaffle iron up and cooked a couple for lunch so had to clean it again. All in all it was a enjoyable few hours just tinkering around with a lot of gear. Cheers

Not the cooking pit but last nights effort. Went to Loxton to visit friends and took a spicy bean meal I did on Thursday.

As the pot belly stove was going I just put the camp oven with the meal on top and did a slow reheat with a glass of red. CO did not fully sit on top but gave a half durn every 5 minutes to ensure a good reheat.

An excellent meal if I do say myself as this one is my recipe to suit Australian taste.

Hey Bear,

In the image which has the fire pit, it looks like you have a container under the frying pan.  Is that something like an old frying pan that you put the charcoal in?

If so, does it breathe ok or have you 'perforated' it?
