The other week I got hold of a half gas bottle pit, not sure what wave length the original owner was on but certainly not mine.

Spent a bit of time cutting the junk that had been cocky sh*ted on and cleaned up the rough edges.

Marked out where I wanted it to go and dug down until I hit clay. So now I will pack some cracker dust in give it a brick edge and finally be able to set up the ovens. More to come.

Isn't it interesting to see what we are all getting up to now we are in lockdown. I've been cooking main meals in the CO most days and regularly doing dampers, got a fruit and nut damper going right now.
Don't have room for a fire pit so made a stainless steel beer keg Weber copy instead, posted the pics earlier. Missus is so bored she has put up the Christmas decorations already.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

I’ve been generally busy most days.  Frequent trips to Bunnings for more materials. And of course the frequent cooks with the COs.
Don’t know how people can be bored.

If I am honest, this isolation stuff has made very little difference for me, day to day.

I don't miss the commute and I was already working from home two or three days a week.

So this means I don't quite understand where everyone seems to be getting the extra time from...

I have been unable to get to bunnings  I don't want to trust my luck.  to travel the extra few ks.
the work shop in the village is open but only one person at a time but I have not been worried about making any camp oven stirrers , or cutting boards as I have been doing  our cooking and caring for the wife.

Good so far Robert.

Maggie and I exercised our constitutional right today and went for a drive within the regulated maximum 50 kilometres.

It is amazing how short a distance that is.

Look forward to seeing the final product. I have a vision of what you're doing in my head and it looks good. A permanent fire pit is on my list of things to do. Just struggling on what kind of design I'm going to go ahead with
