Maggie and my tastes differ when it comes to window shopping.

For me it’s a good deli or butcher shop.   Grin

Took this photo in Westfield Chermside here in Queensland.

I remember years ago window shopping cost you nothing

That is like delis of old.
Not many of them around any more.
The big supermarkets have taken over.
I worked in gourmet food wholesale in the late 70s.
I think most of the delis I visited are now long gone.
Thanks for letting me know about this one.
For those who live in SEQ, Adams buchtery and Deli  at Cobalt Street Carole Park. It’s a very good Deli.

Could not agree more Derek, last year in the UK I spent ages in butcher shops talking about their meats and meat products.
Without exception, and whilst the chat is going on, the butcher would slice a smidgin of something off with a "have a taste of this"
It seemed that the British butchers take great pride in their meat specialities with most having a range of their own pork etc. pies, cured sausage and private supply of game meat and wildfowl.

life is a bed of gidgee coals and a camp oven

Was hoping to get to the UK one day but this darned virus has made us rethink any overseas travel.
