Will just be cooking Saturday as my gear will all be packed in the ute. Will be using a couple of spare 10 inch camp ovens I have.

Decided to do slow cooked Lamb Shanks Rogan Josh. Should be interesting.

Cheers Robert

We are a bit like Aart and will just keep on going providing the weather gods are kind to us.

I have two rather large old iron bark fence posts I need to cut up for the Ozpig.  Going to be a test for my baby Stihl chainsaw.

Given the weather forecast for the bottom left-hand corner of the country this week and weekend I think I'll simply be a spectator.

Have fun all.

I will be going off firewood collecting on Saturday, camping overnight. Phone signal is a bit touch and go in the areas I go to, but will be sure to take photos and share them on Sunday. Now to decide what to cook...

I brought some oxtail this morning, so that might be a starter.

Derek, I have an electric (240v) Stihl chainsaw with a 14" bar, surprising how good it is. Ran out of bar oil on a recent trip so I used the oil from a bottle of dried tomatoes, true, the bonus is a lovely smell of tomatoes when I'm cutting firewood now.
A mate and I compared his 18v battery powered saw with the 240v Stihl, my saw had much more grunt but of course you need a 240v power source.
Rob.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

I have recently upgraded to a Makita 36v saw.  I bought the brushless version as it had a much faster chain speed than the brushed version.
I have just cut some fire wood with it.

We have had some rain this morning so I am going to move my cooking around to the car port this morning as the front verandah is a little wet. Smiley
