Well here we are mid-2020 with all the mod cons yet for some reason we can't get away from fire.

I have just lit the heat bead chimney to get the kettle bbq going meanwhile Toni was inside lighting the wood heater.

We could have lit the gas bbq or the electric oven and turned on a heater or A/C but no, we chose to use fire.  And I can't think of a reason why not.

We have a large slow combustion stove and while there is a bit of work involved gathering wood, sawing and stacking it I reckon it's worth the effort. The past couple of weeks which were pretty cold and wet I kept it going 24/7, nice to get up to a warm house.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

We have a fire inside, ducted heating, but from time to time I like to start up a choofer or the Kings stove just to sit around it

Hi Colin
You are very lucky. I would like to light up my little Kings stove but not allow to light it up here in the village
I use it when we go away in the caravan for cooking some of our meals.
We have the air con, at this time of year.
We have to look after us oldies.
regards Kev  Wink

your little stove is looking good Aart.
