Hope the photos work out. Came out a bit cool. 10 beads on the bottom, 14 beads on top. Still a nice dinner though. 1 hr 15 mins cook time. 1KG lamb

Hi Paul.
Thanks for putting up the photos.
Your meal looks pretty good.
That is a good use for the pot plant feet. I might try that idea   as I have a lot of them myself
All the very best with your cooking.
regards Kevvie  (Kev)

Last week, I tried a few spuds in the bedourie. The beads underneath went out with the oven on them. I also nicked the wifes pizza tray and drilled holes in it to make a trivet!! Don't let her know!! Haha

Hi Paul
You must  be a very brave man to do that. But I think it will be OK just put it back after you use it  and she may not realize you used it. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Embarrassed

I actually found a big pizza tray in a shop somewhere, can’t remember where, that had holes in it.  It’s a big one and sits nicely inside my 16” camp oven.

That’s a nice roast.  Very versatile is the old Bedourie.

Many years ago I bought some trivets from a camping shop.  One in the photo below that I sit the Bedourie on to prevent smothering the coals.  I also use them for sitting the lid on when cooking.

Works a treat

That was my one big pain. My daughter bought the oven for Fathers Day last year. It didn't come with a trivet. Nobody sold the 30cm one. And if they did, it cost an arm and a leg!! I tried a circular pot plant stand and worried about the plastic toxins on it!! Pizza tray and the teracotta legs work well!!

Thanks for all the input guys. Appreciate it.

Paul
