I love grapes and buy them all the time.  I even buy the US ones when ours are out of season but the flavour of these leaves them for dead.

This is a bit of an experiment.  I did know that you can grow roses from a cutting so two weeks ago I took some cuttings from my favourite rose and put them in pots to see how they would go.

Seems to be going well as they started as a straight stick and now have shot and growing leaves.  I just hope the roots are coming along as well.

The man across the road told me before planting a cutting dip it in honey.
It stimulates root growth.

Just picked and ate the first of our apricots.  I have never had an apricot straight off the tree before.

Gosh, what a treat!

At the last Alstonville COG Rory gave me some Bottle Tree seeds.  Out of 12 planted I now have six very healthy little trees growing.

Not sure yet where I will ultimately plant them but I sure do reckon they will outlive me.   Grin

Will be eating homegrown avocado and pomegranates before long.

One avocado tree which wasn’t supposed to fruit in it’s first year has three of these shepherd beauties on it.

The pomegranate has twelve fruits also for it’s first year.  Last time I bought a pomegranate they were $7.55 each and imported.
