Ingredients
Whole Chicken
100 gm butter
Olive Oil
1/2 Cinnamon Stick
Teaspoon Dried Sage Leaves
10 Cloves Garlic Unpeeled
500 ml milk
Peeled Zest Of Two Lemons

Method
Melt butter in camp oven and add a little oil. Over medium heat brown the chicken all over. Remove chicken and dispose of butter and oil but leave drippings in camp oven.

...

Return chicken to camp oven and pour over milk.  Add the cinnamon stick, garlic cloves, lemon zest and sage.

...

Cook with medium heat for one and a half hours

...

After this time the chicken will be cooked and the lemon zest will have split the milk leaving a nice curdled sauce.

To serve pull the meat from the bones and serve with mashed potato, carrots and peas together with the sauce

What I would call one of the easiest camp oven dishes.

My mother used butter milk to cook chicken breasts with corn flakes coating, baked or fry pan all was good. And that's a long time ago. Judy said we will give it ago.
