For quite a few years now we have been having a regular COG at Alstonville, usually around June/July.

We think it would be good to continue and would like to lock in a date.

Peoples thoughts.

On another note also looking at a COG in the new year, possibly in NSW.  Will keep you all advised on that.

Cheers

Subject to lockdowns and our parents failing health I will travel anywhere, anytime for a COG.

Rob, the wider Dubbo area???  You know that area. Any thoughts on a campsite.

No Derek it just seems a central area if other members have a favourite around there.

Do not mind Alstonville for one trip but with Molly working it is a quick up and back each time of 4k return trip.

Derek, a site I have stayed at several time is Macquarie Woods also listed as Vittoria half way between Bathurst and Orange. Pretty sure it is a Forestry Commission, a big grassed area surrounded by pine plantations, it has fire places, flushing toilets and it's free.
To encourage those in SA I'll have a look further south, do a bit of research tomorrow.
Rob.

Had a look at Macquarie Wood on Wikicamps.
Got good reviews, free, lots of space and I like the photos.
Got my vote if it gets the nod..
