I have now got my Camp Oven Mate for my Christmas

As a result of my computer inquiries. I went to my closest camping store that had them.  talking to the sales guy they price matched with another company on the other side of Brisbane
For anyone interested it cost me $64.90  saving on the fuel,  ,time, tolls  and time to go  to the other store on the other side of Brisbane.

Dave thanks for the encouragement  a bit hot here.
I am going down to the caravan tomorrow and get one of the gas bottles and at least set every thing up so might give it a try out. Cheesy

I have one as well and only use it once.

Now summer is coming I will be going into the bush and don't want to set the bush on fire.

When I first used it I found it has to adjust the heat.

Keep us up to date with how you go. thanks, norm (the spoons are great)

When Bill first produced the Camp Oven Mate he sent me a couple to road test.  Many years ago now.

One of the biggest issues we had was getting the flame low enough on a gas burner without it going out.

This is one of my old photos and even with that single burner you needed to get the flame down to about the size of a match head and then keeping it there was an issue.

Whatever gas burner you get make sure it is the smallest available.

I had many a damper with a burnt bum when we originally played with them.
